Vegan markets have been attracting more and more attention, giving us opportunities for lectures and consultations.
In this article, we will cover some of the seminars we have joined and upcoming events we are going to participate in.
●13th Shareshima Products Development Online Seminar (November 17th, 2021)
This seminar targeted those wanting to know about the vegan market and those with an interest in the halal market.
The Representative Director of VegeProject, Haruko Kawano, gave a keynote speech.
She gave an overview of veganism, vegan certification, and how to approach the vegan market.
In the Q&A session, there were many questions and much consultation; we
were able to see that the vegan market attracts a lot of attention from the public.
In addition, Tomohiro Sakuma, the Representative Director of the Japan Halal Business Association spoke about the halal market.
●Plant-based Business Seminar Co-hosted by the Saskatchewan Government, Canada, and VegeProject（November 9th, 2021）
The Canadian province of Saskatchewan is a major producer of many crops important to the plant-based market around the world.
We received an offer from the Saskatchewan government to hold a plant-based seminar together, so we collaborated with them to organize this event.
Haruko Kawano, the Representative Director of VegeProject, shared basic information about plant-based food and what is going on with it both in Japan and internationally.
Mr. Paul Pryce, the Managing Director of Saskatchewan’s Japan Trade and Investment Office, gave a presentation about plant-based market trends in North America – specifically Canadian food innovators – and their plant-based related products. Not only food products but also plant-based vaccine ingredients were covered in his talk.
If this created an opportunity for participants to learn about the plant-based market, and to think about their strategy in the future, then we are very glad.
The following are several upcoming events we are joining:
●Healthy Business Trade Show 2022 (40th): February 8th to 10th, 2022
This is the largest business trade show in the field of health in Japan.
In addition to the seminar, a lot of products and services related to health will be introduced, along with the latest trends in Japan and internationally.
On February 8th, from 11:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., Haruko Kawano, the Representative Director of VegeProject, will give a presentation titled “How to Grasp the Plant-Based Business Trend and How to Try this Business”.
It is said that the plant-based market has the biggest growth in the food field. In her talk, features of the plant-based market in Japan, and the relationship between these and changes in Japanese society, will be addressed.

Herbal products, cosmetics-related therapy, seminars, and workshops will be on offer at this expo. Also, visitors will be able to try their hand at making aromatherapy goods at this expo.
Haruko Kawano, the Representative Director of VegeProject, will hold a seminar on December 18th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
