Fukuoka Prefecture is carrying out a project to promote catering to diverse dietary needs, including vegan and halal options, for restaurants and accommodation facilities within the prefecture. As part of this initiative, a three-part “Tasting Seminar on Vegetarian, Vegan, and Muslim-Friendly Catering” will be held for businesses in Fukuoka Prefecture.

At these seminars, experts in vegan and halal catering, as well as businesses already working on such initiatives, will serve as lecturers. Participants can learn practical knowledge, from the basics to advanced case studies, while also experiencing tasting sessions. Both in-person participation and online viewing are available.

The second seminar will be newly held in the Kitakyushu area this fiscal year. At this seminar, Haruko Kawano, Representative of VegeProject Japan, will serve as a lecturer specializing in vegan catering. In addition to a basic lecture, she will explain case studies, implementation methods, and key points for attracting customers and PR. The tasting menu will include three types of vegetable sushi prepared by vegetable sushi chef Akira Tanimizu.
