From Wednesday February 8th until Friday February 10th 2023, the 41st Health & Wellness Japan Expo was held at the Tokyo Big Sight building. This exposition is the biggest trade show in Japan for companies that specialize in the field of health care and wellness.
For the first time this year, in the expo, the Organic & Natural Expo was held under the theme of “Let’s think about the health of people, society, and the environment.” This is where the VegeProject Zone was installed and showcased vegan and plant-based products.
In the VegeProject Zone we showcased the vegan and plant-based products and services of many companies which received VegeProject vegan certifications.
On the last day of the event, there was a business seminar with the title “Let’s learn from the success stories of leading plant-based and vegan foods and cosmetics companies.” During this seminar, VegeProject representative Haruko Kawano worked as a facilitator and presented in short successive speeches 9 companies which participated in the VegeProject Zone.
Around 270 people participated in our seminar. This number was more than we expected. There seemed to be a lot of interest for the speeches. We hope the companies which took the first step in increasing vegan and plant-based options by participating in this event, received good advice from the experiences of the companies which were presented in the seminar.

We saw many people, who participated in the VegeProject Zone and the seminar, showing interest in vegan and plant-based products and business.
