On September 29, 2024, Fukuoka City will debut its first booth at the Tokyo Vegan Gourmet Festival. This is part of Fukuoka City’s project to promote vegan and halal options, supported by VegeProject.
About the Vegan Gourmet Festival
This is one of Japan’s largest vegan and plant-based gourmet festivals, held in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kyoto, where the general public can enjoy vegan meals, sweets, and other goods.
This edition of the festival will feature approximately 90 booths, including booths for companies using our vegan certification such as Shochiku-en and Kagome.
Fukuoka City to set up a booth as part of their “Universal Food Promotion Project”
Fukuoka City is conducting the “Fukuoka City Universal Food Promotion Project” to support restaurants in the city to offer “vegetarian/vegan” and “Muslim-friendly” options.
As part of this project, Fukuoka city will gather several local businesses offering vegan and plant-based options in a joint booth.
Our organization, VegeProject Japan, is in participating as consultant and expert on vegetarian and vegan matters for this project. On this occasion, we assisted the coordination of the participating businesses and arranged vegan cookies for a giveaway at the booth.
The following four businesses will participate at the Fukuoka City booth:
・Ippudo: Ippudo Plant-Based Ramen for 2 servings, Shinshu 100% Buckwheat Soba for 2 with plant-based dipping sauce
・KOSKO International Co., Ltd.: Kombu Noodles, Olive Powder
・SoyStories: Vegan Donuts, Vegan Dorayaki, Vegan Cookie Set, Vegan Florentine, Vegan Financier
・Little Stand: Oatmeal “Bouya” Waffles

These cookies are a variation of the ones we sold at the “1st Organic Lifestyle EXPO in Kyoto 2024“. This time, the flavours will be “plain”, “cocoa” and “rose”. All variations use organic ingredients and have been certified by VegeProject Japan.
The Vegan Gourmet Festival is free for anyone to attend. Be sure to visit the Fukuoka City booth (booth number 20 in the center of the venue)!
