YAMAZAKI BAKING CO.,LTD., which is the biggest bakery company in Japan, created two series of two breads each, all vegan-friendly (made without animal products such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy, and honey), on sale starting July 1st!
The products are all VegeProject certified, and feature the Vegan Mark on their packaging.
Here are the lineups.

- VEAGN ROLL (Strawberry Jam and Margarine)
- VEGAN ROLL (Chocolate Cream)
Yamazaki Baking developed their own patties for the veggie burgers, which are both filling and delicious.
Both the tomato sauce and the teriyaki sauce Veggie Burgers are garnished with vegan mayonnaise, lending to an enjoyable and delicious vegan “junk food” experience.
The Vegan Rolls, on the other hand, feature cute and soft buns filled with jam and margarine for one, and chocolate for the other.
Of course, none of the ingredients used in these Rolls, including the cream and margarine, are made with any animal-derived ingredients. However, they are impossible to tell apart from their regular counterparts.
One of the Yamazaki Baking Co. representatives responsible for the vegan-friendly bread who worked double time in bringing the products to life. He even delivered some samples ahead of time!
The breads will first be sold in a selection of stores throughout the Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, and Nagano prefectures. If they are well received, a much larger rollout is possible!
