In this article, we will introduce some products, which some of Japanese leading food companies launched within the first half of this year with VegeProject vegan certified mark.

 

The first ever plant based curry from Nakamuraya.
‘Soy Meat & Bean Keema Curry’ and ‘Soy Meat & Tomato Keema Curry’

Nakamuraya, established in 1902, was the first to introduce ‘Indian Curry’ to the Japanese culture and now they are one of the biggest food industries in Japan.

The products above, are their first vegan certified products in the company.

The authentic keema curry has a rich curry base from boiling down of vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, celery etc. The meat-like texture is made from soy meat and the soy cream makes the curry base more creamy.

Coconut flavor makes the Bean Keema Curry more mild. Whereas the Tomato Keema Curry is more spicy.

The first vegan lineup from popular frozen food series “Yokubari Plate”.
‘Chinese style cooked rice and fried egg plant with chilli sauce’ & ‘Rice casserole and Caponata’ 

Nippn, one of the leading food companies in Japan launched vegan versions of their popular frozen food series “Yokubari Plate” for the first time.

‘Deliciousness’ and ‘easiness’ have made these products very appealing.
Vegan soy meat, ‘SoyPro’ which was originally developed by this company, makes the texture more satisfying.
The container is also made of eco-friendly material.

10 vegan products form KAGOME’s Plant based series

A plant based series, 3 categories 10 items, has been launched by Kagome, which is one of the nationally famous food industries.
They started 2 vegan products in 2019 and have developed their vegan lineups.

Their delicious and wide variety of selections have made Japanese vegan/plantbased situation easier.

Without any animal derived ingredients, they have a deep and delicious flavor. The ‘Vegetables & Soy Meat Gapao’ was voted the most delicious product chosen by customers at a department store event.

Almond milk cream to make plant-based coffee break

Melodian Corporation is well known for their coffee cream products.
They launched their first vegan coffee cream finally! A plant based almond milk cream is now available. When put in coffee or tea, you can taste the slightly sweet almond cream. They also go well with summer drinks such as ice coffee and ice tea.
