※We are currently open for requests regarding support and consulting services for serving vegetarian and vegan needs in the Toyama Prefecture. Interested businesses should please be in contact!

Toyama Prefecture has previously been engaged in activities to welcome inbound tourists.

As VegeProject, we have continued on with our activities from last year and provided seminars regarding serving vegetarian and vegan needs.

In addition to the seminar, we have visited businesses in the Toyama Prefecture, and provided one on one support on regarding vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based options.

Regarding the one on one visits, VegeProject’s Director Haruko Kawano visited along with Toyama Prefectural government employees, Mr. Shunpei Takehana of the Regional Co-creation Department from coordinator Yamatogokoro Co., Ltd., Tomohiro Sakuma, Representative Director of Japan Halal Business Association, and Salim Mazen, Representative Director of Toyama Muslim Center.

The businesses were at various stage–some were hoping to start vegan initiatives, some had already started and had specific questions, and some were interested in having a vegan certification mark.

We hope to continue working with this diverse group of businesses and increase vegetarian and vegan options.
