Mr. Paul Pryce

Prior to joining the Government of Saskatchewan in November 2020, Paul served with Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Principal Advisor to the Consul General in Calgary, Canada from 2014 to 2020. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of roles with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. He has written widely on the agri-food and agri-tourism sectors in North America.

The Canadian province of Saskatchewan is a major producer of many crops important to vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based customers.

In 2019, Saskatchewan alone accounted for 51% of the world’s total exports of lentils, 35% of the world’s oats, 31% of its dry peas, 19% of its flaxseed, and more.

Plant-based eating is delicious and nutritious; that is why it is attracting the world’s attention.

Saskatchewan is also home to many innovative companies who have developed plant-based ingredients and products that are just this – delicious and nutritious – and ready for export to a hungry world.

This webinar will offer opportunities to learn about these new products, emerging food trends from North America, and ways to collaborate with Canadian food innovators.
