The 2024 edition of “Health & Wellness Japan,” the largest domestic trade show in the health sector, was held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 20th to 22nd. This year’s edition was larger in scale, and expanded its theme to include the “health of the planet” as well.

Our organization set up the “VegeProject Japan Zone” within the Organic & Natural EXPO, where we introduced businesses utilizing our vegan label, as well as other businesses with vegan products, and showcased vegan and plant-based products and initiatives.

On the first day of the exhibition, February 20th, a business seminar titled “The Current State of Plant-Based & Vegan Business – Success Stories and Product Offerings from Corporate Initiatives” was also held at the seminar venue. The seminar, with a capacity of 180 seats, saw additional attendees join on the day, leading to a full house.

Haruko Kawano, the representative of our organization, began with a basic explanation of plant-based and vegan concepts, discussing their business relevance, case studies, and key points for companies to consider in their initiatives.

Following this, exhibitors from the VegeProject Zone were divided into two groups of four for panel discussions, where they shared their experiences with vegan products, the backstory of their product development, and unique insights from each company.

We hope that the seminar helped participants to better understand plant-based and vegan concepts, and that they can apply this knowledge to their future business and product development.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the businesses that exhibited in the VegeProject Zone, the speakers at the seminar, the organizers who set up the VegeProject Zone for another year, and all visitors who stopped by the VegeProject Zone and seminar.

In addition to our vegan certification services, our organization also offers consultations, lectures, and training to promote the adoption of plant-based, vegetarian, and vegan options.
