Lecture at the Graduate School of Project Design

On April 9, 2026, Haruko Kawano, representative of VegeProject Japan, served as a lecturer at the Graduate School of Project Design, a graduate school for working adults. The lecture was held as part of the “Food Future Co-Creation Innovation Project Research” and focused on vegan food. Basic information about vegan, vegetarian, and plant-based food, as well as why vegan options matter for the future of food, global trends and examples, and how businesses can apply these ideas were introduced.

The participants, many of whom work in food-related fields such as food manufacturing, deepened their understanding of vegan topics and explored how they could apply this knowledge to their own businesses. Participants joined from the Tokyo and Osaka campuses, as well as from their workplaces and homes. Participants actively shared opinions and impressions from both business and personal perspectives.

Lecture at an Event Hosted by the NTT Labor Union Kansai Branch

On April 24, 2026, our representative gave a lecture at an event for young union members of the Kansai Branch of the NTT Labor Union. The lecture gave participants an opportunity to learn about vegan food. Kawano introduced how choosing vegan food connects to topics such as public health, animal welfare and environmental issues. Employees under the age of 35 from NTT Group companies listened with great interest.

After the lecture and Q&A session, participants tried vegan food from “Paprika Shokudo”, a long-established vegan restaurant in Osaka Shinsaibashi. The tasting included soy meat “yakiniku”, “karaage”, and “gateau chocolat” as a vegan sweet. For most participants, this was their first time trying vegan food, and everyone tasted the dishes with great curiosity.
