Graduate School of Project Design

On May 13, Kawano gave a lecture at the Graduate School of Project Design, a graduate program for working professionals. The session was part of the “Food Future Co-Creation Innovation Project,” attended mainly by employees from food manufacturers. Participants deepened their understanding of veganism as an important part of the future of food.

Nagoya Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On June 23, Kawano spoke at the general assembly of the Nagoya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where a lecture on food inclusivity was organized. She presented practical approaches to the implementation of vegan options, and explained why businesses should take action. With the upcoming Tourism EXPO and Asian Para Games, many tourism-related companies attended and showed strong interest in strengthening their vegan readiness.

Nakamura Gakuen University

On July 24, Kawano delivered the keynote lecture at an online public seminar hosted by Nakamura Gakuen University: “Food Inclusivity from Campus: What Does Vegetarian-Friendly Mean?” She covered sustainability, animal welfare, health perspectives, and global trends related to vegan and vegetarian diets. She also offered practical advice for students who will be involved in food service at restaurants and institutions in the future.
