VegeProject began in 2013 to introduce a vegan menu in the Kyoto University cafeteria.
Since then, we have been fortunate to have built many connections with corporations and local governments to increase vegan options around Japan. However, we remain committed to our work in bringing vegan options to universities, as this was our starting point and we believe it as very important activity.
We are pleased to announce that we will be giving lectures at universities around Japan on vegan and plant-based lifestyles, including and not limited to the relations between our earth and consumption, animals, our way of life, and the works of VegeProject.
We see and appreciate the help from our supporters— grant, students from each university including “VegeProject xxx University” being established to aid our causes, invitations from school administrators, and more. Thanks to your support, the lectures can happen.
The target audience is mainly university students, but in some cases, everyone is welcome to join.
In July, lectures are scheduled at Chiba University of Commerce (7/12), Osaka University (7/15), and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (7/20).
We will continue our efforts to make vegan options and introduce plant-based lifestyle known in places that educate the students who will build our future.

Haruko Kawano, the head of VegeProject, will discuss a topic that matters to every individual: environmental issues and food. The talk will cover the relations between environmental issues and food consumption, as well as animal welfare.
All visitors will receive an assortment of vegan products to take home.
