From March 12th-March 14th 2021, Omiya Marui and the East Japan Cooperation Promotion Council held an “SDGs Fair 2021,” with VegeProject participating as a guest organization manning a booth introducing vegan products and motives to choose them.

This was a great opportunity to have the people of the Saitama City area learn about vegan lifestyles, and we were able to have some great conversations and introduce products to many people. We received feedback that people were impressed with the variation of products. Many mentioned their intention to choose them in the future.

Besides VegeProject certified vegan products, our booth also presented on VegeProject’s current activities, as well as the connection between plant-based eating and the UN’s Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) concerning the environment and human health. We also had an interactive activity where people could write on a post-it how they planned on incorporating vegan options into their everyday lives, which we gathered on a cherry blossom tree poster.

Our deepest thanks to the companies who sent their products to be displayed, Marui and the East Japan Cooperation Promotion Council for holding the event, and everyone who came!
