On June 17, 2024, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) hosted the first session of a series of events for dining, lodging and other tourism-related businesses at Shibuya Stream Hall.
VegeProject Japan was invited to participate in the “Tourism Business Exchange Meeting” held at the event, where we introduced our ongoing activities and the support we can offer to other businesses.
This first session was focused on the catering of diverse dietary needs, including vegetarian and vegan catering. The event comprised three parts: a seminar on accommodating vegetarian and vegan dietary needs, an presentation about the available support offered by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and TCVB for tourism-related businesses, and a business exchange meeting.
We held a booth at the exchange meeting, where we displayed vegan-certified products, introduced Tokyo VegeMap, and discussed other initiatives by our organization aimed at increasing vegetarian and vegan options.
Our organization offers consultations for businesses interested in introducing or improving vegetarian and vegan options, and assists in promotion of vegan products and menus. This event also enabled us to connect with new eateries and lodging facilities interested in these initiatives.
We extend our gratitude to the organizers of this event and to everyone who visited our booth.
