Akane Shobo, a publisher specialized in children’s books, published the fourth volume of their series titled “I want to know! Things you can do for a carbon neutral society.” The series currently includes 4 volumes titled “Global warming. We’ve come this far!”, “Efforts in Japan and the world. What will we do from now on?”, “Things you can do at school and at home. How to buy? How to use?”, and the new volume “Things you can do at school or at home. How to dispose of things? How to act?”. Among other things, the new volume mentions VegeProject’s activities and certification marks. There is also a mention of the student’s cafeteria of Tokyo University, which uses our vegan certification mark.
The series is aimed at elementary and middle school students and is meant to make them think about what they can do in their daily lives at school and at home to move towards a carbon neutral society.
We will be happy if it can show students that adopting a vegetarian or vegan diet is one of the meaningful things that can be done for the sake of carbon neutral society.
If you are a student, please look for these books in your school library or local library.
