Since 2019, VegeProject representative has been working as an advisor for a project by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s project to support culturally inclusive hospitality (see details in this article). We provided individual guidance to restaurants and other businesses, delivered seminars on vegan menu development, and supported promotional efforts of vegan-friendly initiatives.
As part of this initiative, training sessions were held at establishments that have already implemented vegan and vegetarian accommodations and possess practical experience.
A training was conducted on January 15 at vegan-friendly patisserie “Dessert Atelier TAKAGIYA,” and on February 4 at “Nouka no Daidokoro,” a popular establishment known for its dishes made with fresh vegetables. Our organization assisted in selecting these venues and provided support throughout the training process.
At Dessert Atelier TAKAGIYA, participants were provided with an opportunity to learn about desserts and meal options that accommodate vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-conscious dietary requirements.
At Nouka no Daidokoro, our organization’s representative Haruko Kawano served as a facilitator, while Nouka no Daidokoro CEO offered practical advice, including operational tips for kitchen and service areas.
