Amidst growing interest in vegan and plant-based options nationally and globally, the Taito Ward will hold a “Food Diversity Inclusion” webinar specifically aimed to help restaurants, hotels, and tourism businesses prepare for vegan and vegetarian customers.

VegeProject’s own director Haruko Kawano has been invited to give a lecture. She will be speaking on the basics of vegetarianism and vegan catering, the need to respond to these growing trends, and she will also include practical advice for how to incorporate vegan items into your menu or where to source vegan ingredients. She will be joined by another lecturer, Fumio Yonezawa, who has extensive experience as a chef in high end restaurants, and who published Japan’s first vegan cookbook last year.
