VegeProject Japan worked with the Taito Ward Office to create a Tokyo Dietary Diversity Map.
Previously, Taito City issued “Asakusa Map For Muslim” introducing restaurants with Halal menus. This time the city added Vegan and Vegetarian stores on the map. VegeProject cooperated in selecting restaurants.
You can see this electronic map in pdf format, and find vegan stores in Asakusa, Ueno and Yanaka. The map is available both in English and Japanese.
Restaurants with vegan menu in Ueno and Yanaka
In addition to the store’s basic information, such as store address, opening hours, and the list of vegan friendly menus, messages from the store owners are also available.
7 vegan friendly restaurants in Ueno/Yanaka and 10 in Asakusa are introduced on the map.
For example Shochiku-en (Asakusa), Chikashoku Sakura Taito City Office Cafeteria and T’s tantan are on the map. Their menus are certified vegan by VegeProject Japan.
This map is for those who are vegan, vegetarian, interested in plant-based meals, and tourists from overseas to enjoy their meals in Taito Ward.
