On November 13, 2025, a seminar on vegetarian and vegan food choices was held in Kinosaki Onsen, hosted by Hoshizaki Hanshin Co., Ltd.
Kinosaki Onsen welcomes many tourists from inside and outside Japan, and in recent years the number of requests from vegetarians and vegans has been increasing. This seminar was organized to support inns and restaurants in responding to these needs.

Haruko Kawano, representative of VegeProject Japan, served as the seminar lecturer.
She explained the basics of vegetarian and vegan food options as well as important points that frontline staff should understand.

Next, Yukiko Tanimoto from the Sales Planning & Promotion Department of Hoshizaki Hanshin introduced the company’s commercial kitchen equipment.
As labor shortages and rising personnel and ingredient costs increase the need for efficiency, the use of kitchen machines is expanding. These machines are also useful when preparing vegetarian and vegan menus. A proposal for vegan dishes using a steam convection oven was also presented that day.

The same venue also featured proposals for buffet menus accommodating vegetarian, vegan, plant-based, and allergy-friendly dishes.
Products introduced included the NIPPN Vege Café Series and Heinz Japan products such as their plant-based demiglace and white sauce and falafel, all of which have acquired our vegan certification.
