The 1st Organic Lifestyle EXPO in Kyoto 2024 will be held on June 28th (Friday) and 29th (Saturday) at the Miyako Messe in Kyoto. VegeProject Japan will be exhibiting at Kameoka City’s booth, showcasing plant-based meat.
Kameoka City is leading the way nationwide with various initiatives to become an “sustainable city,” such as enacting a ban on plastic shopping bags and declaring itself an “Organic Village” to promote organic farming.
When our representative, Haruko Kawano, conveyed the necessity and potential of vegan options in the community to Mayor Takahiro Katsuragawa of Kameoka City, the Mayor sympathized and supported vegan initiatives, for their potential to protect the environment. This led to our introduction of vegan meals at Kameoka City’s booth at this expo.
