In July 2025, the project “Let’s Reduce CO2 Together 2025” (Genkotsu Project 2025) was held to encourage both companies and consumers to work toward a decarbonized society.
It included activities such as Eco Label Hunter 2025, where children could learn about the environment and decarbonization in a fun way, and presentations of CCNC member companies’ products and CO₂ reduction initiatives.

The Kanro Ame page explains that the product is environmentally conscious.
It visualizes CO₂ emissions from raw material sourcing to disposal and recycling and shows efforts to reduce them. It also introduces the VegeProject vegan mark and explains that choosing vegan products helps fight climate change because vegan choices do not contribute to greenhouse gas emissions from livestock farming.

The event promotes Japan’s pickle culture and its health benefits, recognizing outstanding products that express the flavors of the four seasons.

The product is suitable for “rolling stock” — a method of keeping food in stock for emergencies while regularly consuming and replacing it.
Its long shelf life compared to regular pickles also helps reduce food waste.

In addition to Fukujinzuke, the company also sells vegan-certified “Long Shelf Life MENMA.”
