A feature about vegan lifestyles was published in the June 2024 issue of the bimonthly magazine “Therapist”, under the theme “Not Only for the SDGs and Health: New Demands and Possibilities Created by Veganism”.

“Therapist”, published by Book and Business Japan, is a specialized magazine targeted towards therapists, aspiring therapists, and those interested in natural treatments. In this special issue, Therapist presented a four-page article about vegan lifestyles, including an interview with VegeProject Japan’s representative Haruko Kawano.

Currently, many Japanese readers are unaware of what a vegan lifestyle entails. As such, the article includes a chart explaining the difference between vegan and vegetarian diets, a Q+A section, and practical tips.

In her interview, Kawano discusses how vegan choices can positively impact the lives of animals and the environment, and how vegan lifestyles can not only be nutritionally complete, but also improve peoples’ health. The interview also introduces “Meat Free Mondays”, and our interview with Paul McCartney for the promotion of this campaign in Japan.

We hope that this article becomes an opportunity for readers to deepen their understanding of vegan lifestyles and encourage the adoption of vegan choices into their everyday lives.
